Couples
Ulises RamosFebruary, 2022
In March 2022 Tiny Town Gallery is pleased to welcome Couples, an exhibition by Ulises Ramos.
"This body of work is a small section from a bigger series that is still in the making process. The work consists of prints as well as sculptures and drawings. This series originated after the absence of my wife as she went away to China for what we thought would be a couple months soon after that the pandemic started [but has] kept her in China since. This series begins observing and questioning the idea of a relationship, companionship, love, and what sense it gives in life as to how we as humans give meaning to these concepts."
Ulises Ramos is an Arizona-based visual artist focusing primarily on printmaking and 2D media. Ramos was awarded with Best of Digital Drawing, Drawing and Printmaking by the Luis Bernal Gallery Juried Exhibition before entering the University of Arizona in 2021. Ramos is a published artist, and has work featured in Pima Community College's Sandscript Magazine (2017-2021 Editions), receiving the cover in two occasions 2020 and 2021. Ramos is continuing his education at the University of Arizona pursuing a bachelor’s in fine arts, expected to graduate in the spring of 2023.
